Workshop Safety-by-Design, as part of Responsible Research and Innovation

Together, WUR and the Ministery of Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W) are in the process of establishing a program “Safe by Design”. This program see below, encompasses both research and education.

Since safety, and in a broader sense Responsible Research Innovation (RRI), are essential components of new WUR procedures for innovative research, we invite you to participate in the Workshop ‘Safety by Design as part of Responsible Research and Innovation in Practice’.

Participation may benefit your ongoing and future projects with relation to public acceptance, and the outcome of the workshop will be used as input for the development &. Implementation of the new program on Safety-by-Design under the MoU between Wageningen and the Ministry of I&W.

The goals of the Workshop are:

–      provide you with hands-on experience and tools to incorporate aspects of safety and public acceptance as integral project components, and thus allow for better communication with industrial partners.

–      disseminate new concepts on safety and public acceptance within Wageningen University & Research

–      the output of the Workshop will help to define the new WUR-I&W program “Safe-by-Design” which will entail new research initiatives.
