Symposium Optimising photosynthesis for societal needs

Venue: Room C0221
Registration fee: free event due to sponsoring from PE&RC and EPS, but registration required
Registration: https://www.pe-rc.nl/node/20903
Organizer: graduate school PE&RC and SKiPR

Professor Don Ort is a distinguished photosynthetic biophysicist from the University of Illinois. Recently, he has been focussing on the problem of how to improve photosynthesis to meet societal needs, a field in which he has co-authored some of the key papers and reviews and has resulted in him being the leader of the Gates Foundation RIPE programme.
Given his presence in Wageningen for the DIES, we take the occasion to organise a symposium on the 10th of March to honour Don’s visit and expertise. During this meeting we will hear about the latest progress and ideas from Don, his colleagues in Wageningen, and his colleagues at the Free University of Amsterdam.
