Mindlab: A theatre performance that touches at the heart of science and academia

Mindlab was developed by TheaterMakers Radio Kootwijk and was a.o. based on interviews with staff members of the University of Twente and Utrecht University. Utrecht University (UU) is organizing several editions of this theatre performance in October in the Parnossos Cultural Centre and has already sent the invitations to all UU employees. However, there is also one performance open to non-UU employees, on the 24th of October.
Why Mindlab?
“These performances are intended to help facilitate discussions on what constitutes a safe and inspiring environment within the university and how we can realise that vision together: how should we teach, provide leadership, conduct research, ensure a safe work environment – and what is everyone’s responsibility in this? Mindlab is a performance that fits in seamlessly in a zeitgeist of reflection and reorientation, with greater focus on the impact of our work, appreciation of diversity in careers, a safe study and working environment and, above all, greater focus on collaboration.”
If you are interested, please join an edition and afterwards, in the Mindlab Café, reflect together with the other participants on the academic working environment and what we could do to make it safe and productive for all.
The play will be in Dutch, but English subtitles will be provided on the stage. For UU employees there are no costs involved. EPS PhD candidates can list the Mindlab attendance under the section Personal Development in their TSP with 0.2 ECTS.
