The GeneSprout Initiative is organizing an online event together with Oeko-Progressives Netzwerk from Germany to announce their collaboration on the Give Genes A Chance Campaign.
We are also going to discuss the outcome of Public Consultation for plants obtained by certain NGTs.

EU citizens & organizations voiced their opinions in a public consultation on a policy initiative for plants obtained by certain New Genomic Techniques (NGTs) – like CRISPR. Almost 80% called for a change in the current regulation for plants obtained by certain NGTs! However, many questions on the role of stakeholders, the traceability, and sustainability remain.
Let’s discuss what the outcome of the public consultation means and what comes next.
