Enza Zaden & Seed meets Technology visit

On Thursday the 29th of September 2022, the EPS PhD Council, in collaboration with Stichting Seed Valley, will organize a dual company visit event for EPS PhD candidates. This event will take place from 10.00 in the morning until 15.00 in the afternoon and therefore will take up a full day.

In the morning we will visit Enza Zaden, who will provide us with both talks about the research that is conducted in their facilities as well as a tour through these facilities. Enza Zaden is one of the leading companies in the field of crop development in the Netherlands as they produce and sell seeds of many different crops all across the world. For any PhD candidate, a visit to their facilities is therefore an interesting and valuable experience for more insight in applied plant sciences. In the afternoon, we will visit Seed meets Technology (SMT), a networking event held in the exhibition hall of Vertify in which more than 40 different seed and/or technology companies participate. These companies demonstrate new products and/or services in the field of plant and seed science such as seed treatment, phenotyping, seed processing equipment, breeding support, sustainable crop protection and cultivation systems. This event allows for interaction with the different companies, which can be of great value for any PhD candidate who wants to expand their network in the applied sciences sector.
