CRISPR/Cas Technology – From Innovation to Communication

The course will focus on the groundbreaking CRISPR/Cas technology. A range of expert speakers will present the latest developments in the field and share how they apply CRISPR/Cas in their own research projects. During the hands-on computer practical, participants will learn how to design and create their own CRISPR/Cas constructs.

In addition to the scientific and technical aspects, the course will address the ethical considerations of gene editing, including discussions around the broader use of GMOs. A key component will also be science communication, focusing on how to engage in meaningful dialogue between scientists and non-scientists on polarizing and sensitive topics.
