The Graduate School 'Experimental Plant Sciences' (EPS) is a collaborative research and teaching institution of Wageningen University (WU), Radboud University (RU), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), Leiden University (LU), University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Utrecht University (UU).
EPS was founded in 1992 in order to organize and coordinate the fundamental and strategic plant research of the collaborating universities, aiming at the development of new principles in crop breeding, crop protection and crop growth for sustainable agriculture and horticulture. EPS also facilitates the training and teaching of PhD students in these fields by organizing PhD courses, seminars and summer schools.
EPS received first, second and third term accreditation as a Graduate School by the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1993, 1998 and 2003.

- Application for the EPS International PhD Programme 2008 is CLOSED. For those who applied to our International PhD programme 2008 herewith a short update. In total 236 candidates applied for one of the eleven positions. The PhD Programme Committee selected 3 to 4 people per project for telephonic interviews and of these 2 candidates were invited for a selection interview in Wageningen. All applicants were contacted by either email or by telephone with an update regarding their application status.
